Youth Ministry Programme

The Conforti Institute is offering The Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies Programme in conjunction with The Archdiocese of St Andrews and Edinburgh from Autumn 2011 onwards. The Programme was recently successfully piloted in Paisley diocese where two groups, one comprising secondary school teachers and another made up of people with experience of working in this field from parishes throughout Scotland, successfully completed the course.

The programme is a ministry education program designed for adults whose ministry involves working with young people in both parish and school settings. It equips leaders with the knowledge, skills, practical tools, and techniques needed for creative and comprehensive ministry with young people. The programme will be of interest to youth ministry co-ordinators, teachers, university students, volunteers and anyone who is working in this field. The primary aim of the programme is to promote personal, spiritual, and ministerial growth.

It involves 8 modules of study and it is possible to participate in the programme either for accreditation or non accreditation. Those seeking accreditation complete a set of assignments for each module.
