SSVP "Voice of the poor" programme
- Categorized in: Other Courses

We are working in partnership with the Society of St Vincent de Paul and Catholic Secondary schools to provide a formation programme in Youth Ministry that reflects the values and vision of the Society of St Vincent De Paul.
The SSVP in Scotland has embarked on a programme to educate young people about the Society, and ultimately enable them to become members of the Society. By becoming members, young people are expected to seek out those people in their local or wider communities who need their help, and provide assistance where they can.
The programme provides Catholic schools with a structured programme of training enabling groups of young people to run ‘Young Vincentians’ Groups’ in each school and to connect their work with the work of the Society both locally and nationally. The programme involves pupils from S4 and is run on a residential basis.
For more information please contact Clare Carr, SSVP Youth Officer, on 0141 226 8833.
